The KDFC Instrument Drive - May 5 - 18

Have a Gently-Used Instrument in Your Closet? Classical KDFC is Having an Instrument Drive for Bay Area Children, May 5 -18!

It’s time for the KDFC instrument Drive! Between May 5 and May 18, we're partnering with Music in Schools Today and various local arts partners around the Bay to encourage you to dig in your closets, attics and garages for gently used, but maybe forgotten instruments that a Bay Area child could put to good use to bring the music back to life. An old trumpet in the attic could bring the sound of music to a lucky child. That old violin that sits in the closet is waiting to make music again, and there’s a youngster waiting to play it. Drop off you instrument at locations listed below, and we’ll get them to deserving schools and kids. Let’s do it together!

How You Can Help

Your unused instrument can make a world of difference to a Bay Area child. Please bring your instruments to one of the drop-off locations listed below during the KDFC Instrument Drive. We are currently unable to accept pianos, organs and other large instruments that cannot be carried by hand. We also cannot accept recorders at this time. Please fill out the instrument donation form below so Music in Schools Today can provide you with a tax receipt.
