Ruckus
From KDFC listener Mike:
How does a pup with a name like Ruckus stay so mellow? KDFC Classical, of course!
This frisky Wheaten Terrier is the Official Greeter for IRG. He opens the glass doors (true!) and guides customers through thousands of natural stone slabs, helping ease concerns about making just the right choice.

Samson
From KDFC listener Dawn:
Samson, my 15 month old Akita loves listening to KDFC’s Saturday Night Dinner Party while he hopes for an appetizer or a wayward morsel of cheese to be dropped and find its way into his mouth!
|
Eddie
From KDFC listener Pam of Novato:
Originally from Belize, Edward was partial to the Macarena. But since moving to Novato, California he’s discovered classical music and likes to listen to KDFC as he kicks back from long hours at his job as a "rodent control associate."

Kit and Kat
From KDFC listener John of Dublin:
Kit and Kat enjoy looking out the window early in the morning but when I turn on KDFC they start purring and chilling. Beethoven really is purrfect morning music for them, especially the 5th and 9th symphonies. Kit and Kat might even move off the couch when I tell them to if they were selected as pet(s) of the week.

Teddy
From KDFC listener Tom:
Teddy and Veronica in one of their calmer moments, after a day of fun and listening to KDFC, are just too tired to move. The music played on KDFC is so easy listening, relaxes the pit bull and our granddaughter so they can enjoy each others company all day long!

Bert and Julie
From KDFC listeners Kim and Larry of Los Altos:
Bert and Julie are 5 year-old sibling pugs who enjoy lying on our laps listening to KDFC. What’s funny is that they really listen! If a commercial comes on and they hear any kind of sound like a doorbell, or a dog bark, they bark at the radio!

Tango
From KDFC listener Anita:
Tango! Yes, he is named Tango and he loves to dance! He always looks at you when you talking and his response (in his facial expression) it’s as if he knows exactly what you are saying to him. He’s an amazing little guy!

Willow
From KDFC Listener Shannon Jurich:
"Willow" is a two year old Maine Coon who was abandoned along with his mom & siblings. He was feral for his first four months prior to my rescuing him. We love his antics, his strength of character, his sense of fair play, his courage, adorable ways of play, grooming himself, and hanging out, and his sense of always being cool. Willow listens daily to KDFC and loves all sorts of classical music. He's just getting opera but isn't quite certain where he will go with it. The soothing effects of listening to classical music is well documented for people as well as animals.

Bella
From KDFC Listener Chuck Bowden:
With a name like "Bella" how could this Brittany in Montclair not have a discerning eye (and nose) for Italian sandwiches? And of course, Italian composers. Vivaldi is her absolute favorite. She's especially partial to the double trumpet concerto performed by Wynton Marsalis.

Tallulah
From KDFC Listener Debra Lewis:
This is Tallulah; music critic and opera diva. When I sing along with loud rock & roll, she slaps me on the leg and scolds me. When I play KDFC, she curls up in her favorite cozy spot and purrs. Tallulah would be very excited to be KDFC's Pet of the Week.

Fergie the Corgi
From KDFC Listener Barb in San Francisco
Here’s Fergie and her owner, Barb, at Dillon Beach. Fergie is a two-year old Corgi-mix rescue dog. She may be small in size, but she has a huge, loving personality and a big-dog love of classical 102.1 KDFC. Her favorite KDFC artist to listen to while she’s hanging around the house is Angele Dubeau & La Pieta, and her favorite Dubeau song is Buona Fortuna Jack from the “Fairy Tale” CD.

Cosmo
From KDFC Listener Bob Cook
This family of happy Australian Shepherds had a chance to catch up with each other in mid September in Pacifica, CA. Proud parents are Cosmo (from champion show dogs) & Chai ( from champion working dogs). This was the litter's 5 month reunion, and as you can see, all were happy to see each other. Not only does Cosmo love KDFC, but he also watches TV - nature shows are his favorite.

Petey
From KDFC Listener Robbie Hansen, Sunnyvale
This is our dog Petey. When we're not home Petey loves to sneak up on to the chair so that he can relax and snore while the TV is tuned in to the classical station. Petey would LOVE to be pet of the week!

Aunt Mary
This is Aunt Mary, a twelve and a half year old American Tabby. Aunt Mary was born in Las Vegas and traveled all through Northern California and the Sierra's; San Francisco being the favorite of her travels, of course. She has listened to KDFC for the past nine years of her life and especially enjoys Hoyt's morning show. Chopin is her current favorite and as soon as a piano concerto begins, Aunt Mary shifts to laying on her back so she can better soak in her favorite classics.
|
Savana
From listeners Melissa and Jeff of Sunnyvale:
Savanna, a regal tabby of indeterminate parentage, shares her domain with Melissa and Jeff of Sunnyvale. She wakes up to KDFC every weekday morning, and likes to unwind after a long day of napping and swatting things to Carnival of the Animals: Royal March of the Lions. She is completely baffled by her humans’ affection for Water Music, though.
