Dianne Nicolini is a fourth generation native of Oakland. She graduated from Cal in Dramatic Art and has a master's degree in Theater from University of Missouri.

Dianne got her start in radio at classical KXTR in Kansas City. Coming home to the Bay Area in 1983, she began announcing on KDFC's old rival, KKHI, finally joining the on-air staff at KDFC in 1995.

Dianne enjoys walks around her Crocker Highlands neighborhood, dining out with friends, and savoring a good book while basking in the sunshine in the backyard with a cool Cosmopolitan by her side. She's also a regular at daughter Monica's water polo games and keeps tabs on son Tommy, away at college, by tracking his debit card activity.

Husband Jim runs the ICU at Children's Hospital and has challenged Hoyt Smith to a tennis grudge-match — any time, any place, baby.
