The score for Bugonia, composed by Jerskin Fendrix, marks his third collaboration with director Yorgos Lanthimos. The score was recorded with the 90‑piece London Contemporary Orchestra, and amplifies the film’s tension by blending bombastic energy with experimental, unsettling textures that mirror two conspiracy obsessed young men. Fendrix uses the music to balance the story’s dual realities, Teddy and Don’s seemingly unhinged behavior in a basement and the possibility that they’re actually trying to prevent an apocalypse, giving the narrative a sense of epic, global stakes. Solomon Reynolds and Jerskin Fendrix discuss the movie and the three words that inspired the intense score.
